The weather this weekend was soooo nice. I am ready for Spring. Bring it. I made sure to take the dogs out to enjoy it too. We went on a 4.5 mile walk on Saturday that resulted in lazy afternoon lounging for these two:
Anyways...seeing as it is moving into Springtime, I treated myself to a new Spring polish. It's Essie's Avenue Maintain.
It's a really bright blue, but I definitely like it a lot. It's a lot less baby blue in comparison to Bikini So Teeny.
I also tried these new-to-me drying drops. I typically use Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri top coat, but lately it has been leaving a lot of tiny bubbles once dry. I like these drops, they dry the polish super quick and they condition your cuticles at the same time. My only recommendation so far is to wait about 3 minutes before applying to nails. The directions say 1 minute after your last coat, but when I only waited a minute I got some bubbles in my polish.
Any polish lovers like me out there? Here's a few new finds in polish for you.
I was flipping through the March issue of People's Style Watch and I found this new site. works like a Netflix account but for polish. You get 3 polishes and a pre-paid return package. You get to use the polish and then return for another 3 picks. With brands like Chanel, Mac, and Dior the cost of 1 shipment ($18) is equal to or less then the cost of purchasing one of these designer polishes. It's a pretty good deal (and would make a great gift) for someone who loves polish but doesn't want to break the bank with the designer hues.
These fancy brushes are the ASP Nail Art Brush Set which can be found at The set includes 4 brushes that are perfect for creating all types of nail art and designs. The set is $14.99 and as long as you clean them and take care of them, they should last a while.
I love having pretty polish and I think it's great that there are so many new products for nail obsessed people like myself!
I finally have a new polish post!  Feast your eyes on this killer combo!
Teal: L'Oreal Colour Riche Now You Sea Me, Neutral: Moon Over Mumbai with Glitter: Orly Tiara

I love the way these 2 colors look together!  And I know I have said this before, but I really like the new L'Oreal Colour Riche Polish.  They have a great selection of colors and the polish goes on super smooth!
Essie's Bikini So Teeny!
The perfect Summer blue!
It has been a long time since I really liked an Opi polish collection.  I have been on board with all the latest Essie releases, I love their colors so much better.  But, I am really into Opi's Spring/Summer 2012 Holland collection.
I love the range of colors.  Some of the collection has a nice shimmer to it as well.  I will definitely be getting my hands on those blue shades!

Any new polishes that you can't get enough of?
Now that I can perfectly manage the chunkiness of Essie's Set in Stones glitter polish I have been using it all the time.  So this week's mani post is no different.
Essie's Marshmallow with Essie's Set in Stones & Revlon's Sparkling on the ring fingers.

I love how solid and glitterific it is.  It has the same effect as those glitter nail stickers (I think Sally Hansen has some glitter options in their version) but more cost effective since the bottle will last so much longer then box of stickers.  The only pain is removing the glitter since it's so thick, I usually soak my nails for a few minutes in nail polish remover to loosen the polish up.

P.S. I clearly have not been using my cuticle oil, sorry for the gross dry hands!
We went to Atlantic City this weekend to celebrate one of our good friend's birthdays.  It was a little chilly so I opted out of a dress and decided to restyle my purple pants for a night out.  The previous purple pants outfit was more casual, but by swapping out my flats and adding some bold accessories I made them more night time appropriate.
Top: H&M, Pants: Target, Pumps: Bakers
The nails for the night: Loreal's Tangerine Crush with a little touch of Essie's Set in Stones
Now excuse me while I go sleep for the next few days and ice my feet.
I went bright this week to continue my love for all things Spring and finally getting to bust out my more fun polish options.
Essie's Shelter Island (an oldie but a goodie) and Essie's Set in Stones on the tips of my ring fingers like they were dipped in glitter.

P.S. One of my previous mani's was picked for the manicure du jour on FabFitFun (Giuliana Rancic's Blog)!  You can check it out here.  Have a great weekend!
Since it's starting to get warm enough to show your toes I thought I would share some of my new favorite nail products that make my mani's and pedi's look pretty much professional in between the times I actually get them done at the salon.  Before I start, I want to say I am not receiving anything from any of the company's mentioned.  I am only sharing some of the products I love.
I know a lot of people are against trimming their cuticles, but I find it a neccessity.  I have pretty small nailbeds and by trimming my cuticles I make a lot more space for polish.  I was recently given this cuticle remover from a friend and I don't know what I did without it.  I like both of these tools, however, be careful with the push n trim tool because it's so sharp you can actually go through the cuticle and take chunks out of your nails.  Trust me.
I know these are all Sally Hansen products, but the reason I try a lot of their stuff is because they have soooo many different options.  I know I have mentioned quite a few times how great their Insta-Dri top coat is, but I think I have found one that's even better.  I tried out this diamond flash top coat because the store I went to was sold out of the other one.  This top coat dries just as fast, but I think that it is a stronger top coat.  I used to use 2 different top coats when I used the Insta-Dri and now I am just using this one by itself.
This cuticle oil was also a gift from a friend and it's awesome!  I have very dry cuticles, probably because I have to wash my hands a million times every night at work, and this stuff instantly fixes them!
Current Mani: Essie Turquoise & Caicos (in love with this color)
Another glitter manicure.  Sorry.  But not really, I just can't get enough glitter.
I used Essie's Master Plan as the base coat and then on the ring fingers I used Essie's Set In Stones.  I started applying it thicker on the tips and then faded it out down the nail.  The rest of my nails have Nicole by Opi Make U Smile in a thin coat.
I just wanted a fun and sparkle filled mani for the weekend.  I hope you all have a fun weekend too!
