Happy Halloween!  I worked all weekend, so I don't have any fun costume pictures, sorry!

I wanted a fun outfit to wear with my new wedge booties that I am super excited about.  I posted about similar wedges way back here, but guess what?  I found them for even cheaper.  Good ol' Target has a version of this popular fall bootie (you can check it out here).
I just love them!  And at $29.99, this is the cheapest version I have found of pretty much an identical bootie!
Shirt, shorts (seen previously here), tights, booties: Target
I took one of my favorite pairs of shorts from the Summer and restyled them for the Fall.  I just threw a long, black cardi on when I went out, it was great!
I'm not going to hide it.  I really love oversized tee's.  Not like, love.  Good thing they are all under $15 a piece, or we might not be able to pay our mortgage this month...just kidding honey.
Top: H&M, Leggings: Target (they have a seam down the front center so they make your legs look thinner/longer), Boots: Kelsi Dagger from Piperlime (I got them on clearance at the end of last winter).
This oversized tee comes in a bunch of different color combinations and it's just under $13.  Oh, and it puts a smile on my face.  P.S. I am going to be so sad when my honeymoon tan goes away.

Have a great weekend everyone!

I am pretty much obsessed with all things Rachel Zoe, so it is no surprise that I have been dreaming of this jacket that I saw from her collection on Piperlime.
I love long winter jackets, but it can be tricky to get the right fit.  So, I really lucked out when I came across this little gem at H&M.
It fits like it was tailored to me-which I think H&M should start doing since I wear and blog about all of their clothes!  (Maybe I will write a letter...).  I also love the hidden buttons-I am fanatical about matching my hardware, so if it had silver or gold colored buttons, it would always affect my outfit choices.  And the best part....it was just $60!  That's great for a winter jacket!  I wore my last long, black winter jacket from H&M for approximately 5 years-they are really well made.  The jacket also came in light gray if you are interested!
After giving it a lot of thought, I decided to.......drum roll please......

Cut my hair!!!

The Before:
The Inspiration:
The After:
I just need to add a little of my favorite hair product since I am terrible at getting volume when I blowdry my hair.  I had a little over 10 inches cut off to donate to Locks of Love, and then they had to cut off about an inch more for styling.  What do you think?  It's a huge change, and it's taking me a little while to adjust, but I think I like it!
I just want to have one post on some of the awesome things that I found during my wedding planning.  Even if you are already married, or not ready for it yet, you might be interested in some of these items.  Or maybe you have a friend or family member that could use some help!

Thanks to some do-it-yourself projects that you may have read about here and with the help of the shops on Etsy I was able to stay within my wedding budget and maintain my cheap chic style.
The Veil
The veils at the bridal shops that I went to when dress shopping were a couple hundred dollars which I think is craziness!  I looked on Etsy to see what they had and I found a huge selection of different styles and length veils.  I ended up with a waste length veil trimmed in satin ribbon.  It was just like the one I tried on with my dress at the dress shop but it was more than 1/4 of the price at $39 + shipping.

These gorgeous flowers were one of my favorite buys on Etsy.  They are so realistic looking and they came on sturdy alligator clips so they didn't move all night long, even with all of the dancing.  The shop has so many different types and colors of flowers, it's worth taking a look!
The Favors
This was half DIY and half store bought.  I purchased the chalkboard stemless wine glasses at Pier One (you can also easily make them if you have some free time).  I wanted to have a favor that wasn't permanently personalized since most people throw out those type of favors.  We drew a bunch of different sayings on them with chalk for when our guests sat down, but then we also provided chalk on the favor card so that they could change them to whatever they wanted.  They seemed to be a big hit!
I can't believe two weeks went by that fast!  I missed blogging while I was away, and I will try to make up for it since I'm back!  Here is my 2 weeks in pictures (and some words too)...

Starting with, getting married!
My gown is by Tara Keely, you can see it here.
And then there was the honeymoon!  We went to a Sandals in St. Lucia.  First some of the fun outfits...
Brown tropical dress: I bought at Ross about 5 years ago and never had a place to wear it-until now!  Purple maxi dress: seen here.  Purple silky tank: H&M (love these!  About $8 and great layering pieces!).  White strapless dress: seen here.

This was my favorite purchase for the trip:
My new sun hat from Call it Spring-it was on clearance for $14!
This was my favorite outfit from the trip:
This awesome jade green, one shoulder ruffle dress was a great find at Forever21!

And finally, some of the fun that we had...
We went on a bike ride to a beautiful waterfall-it was my first waterfall!  It was freezing cold, but it was worth it!  But even more awesome then that...
I got to paddle board for the first time!!!  I am obsessed!  If this could be my primary mode of transportation I would not complain.  The hubster was a little upset because I stood right up and paddled away, but by the end he was an addict too!

Phew!  I know that a lot, but I was gone for a while and I had a lot to say!  I hope you enjoyed!
What a weekend!  I am packing like a crazy person right now for my honeymoon, but here’s a little somethin’ somethin’ for ya!
And for fun, my something blue!  I bought these a while ago from Forever21 for like 20 bucks, but I noticed the other day, Payless has some blue heels as well, if you are in the market
P.S.: We bought an iPad today, so even though I probably won’t be able to post every day for the next 2 weeks, I will definitely try and post some outfit pics and updates when I can!  Talk to you soon from Saint Lucia!
No legit post for today!  I had a super late night at my wonderful rehearsal dinner!  I hope everyone has a great weekend and I will try to post before I leave for my honeymoon on Monday!  This is the only picture I have from the night so far:
Dress: Seen here.
Over the knee boots?  I really love them, but only certain styles.  You will definitely never see me in over the knee stileletto boots, but a flat or wedge version...yes please!
Cardi, Tank, Scarf, Leggings: H&M, Boots: Chinese Laundry
I like how they flare out a little at the top.  Since that is the widest part of my leg, if it fit weird it might not be flattering.
And finally, I am in love with my new scarf, it's slim enough that it can be worn around your neck, as a purse accessory, or even as a headband.
So, in summary, go get yourself some over the knee boots and work it!
