We are enjoying our "staycation babymoon" this week, so posts are going to be minimal until next week. But I wanted to share some treats I found that I might just have to purchase-they can be my babymoon souvenirs!
Mossimo Womens Hi-Lo Dress
$24.99
The blue ombré is even prettier in person.
Mossimo Knit Maxi Dress
$25 (on sale)
Again, in person this dress looks way different. It has more structure to it, and a little slit on the one side. It is so much cuter then any of the other striped maxis out there, if you have been looking for one.

Bonus: neither of them are maternity, so I can wear them post pregnancy too!

See you next week!

This is how I describe how not tan I am, it is not describing my shorts. I am still trying to buy and wear mostly regular (not maternity) clothes. Minus bottoms, because that would be super uncomfortable. So, I thought I would post a long overdue outfit post.
Lightweight sweater (target), white linen shorts (old navy maternity), sandals (steve madden), necklace (forever21), and clutch (from Groopdealz).

This sweater is from the juniors department, and I love the dramatic high-low hemline. I just purchased a bigger size so it did not become a crop top in the front with my belly.

If you are looking for comfortable maternity shorts, these ones are definite winners.

And who could pass up a sparkly gold clutch? Not me. Groopdealz wins again.
Here is one more photo just to show the hemline of the sweater. I love this outfit, and I was really comfortable. It is a winner!

Warning: this is all about maternity clothes and sizing. But, I thought I would share because it is pretty confusing figuring out what size to get and pretty much everything is online only. I just made a few purchases from Old Navy (everything was on sale + 30% off + free shipping = perfection).
I read the customer reviews to help with figuring out my sizing. Everything I ordered seems to fit totally different. The pants have 3 different waistbands-low rise, demi panel, and full panel and I think that affects the sizing.

I am 5'5" (and a half) and my pre-pregnancy size was a 4 or 6 (depending on the brand) and a small/medium. In Old Navy, I wore mostly size 4 and medium in tops. The most helpful customer reviews included these numbers because I could compare pre-pregnancy sizes.

To review what I purchased, I bought mediums in the dress, leggings, lounge pants, and shorts. The dress is the perfect length for my height, but the medium is kinda big (I'm hoping by summer and with my growing belly it will fit a little better). I'm overall the most disappointed with the dress-I probably should have exchanged for a size smaller. The leggings fit perfect and the low rise fit is super comfortable. The pants and shorts are a little big, but the lengths are great, and I am the master at shrinking things so I think they will fit great after one wash.

The capris fit the best and are pretty comfortable with the full panel. I read all the reviews and went with a size 6. These will get a lot of wear.

The Rockstar Jeggings are another fav. I got them in the light and dark blue colors. The first time I ordered I got way too big of a size (size 10) because I read all the reviews and everyone said they ran sooo small and to go 2 sizes up. I disagree. I went with a size 8 the second time around and they fit great. I can see why people recommended 2 sizes up, the demi band isn't very comfortable because of where it hits on your stomach, but as I get bigger, I can fold it over. And I would rather have the pants fit better in the legs and booty.

Sorry for those who are not purchasing maternity clothes right now. But, maybe save it for later or share with a friend who is because it is definitely tricky figuring it all out!

If any of you are Real Housewives of New York Fans you might have noticed the new girl Carole's awesome outfit choices. She is apparently very "downtown" and I am I love with her style. On my must have list for fall: motorcycle gloves. Crazy. I know. But it's happening.
These elbow length gloves I happened to run across while looking for the motorcycle gloves and I am kind of in love with them too. Think of all the layering options for fall and winter! Plus, leather is still really popular right now.

I love a simple dress that I can get multiple wears out of by styling it completely different ways.  Swapping out shoes and piling on some jewelry can make a basic dress look amazing.  Here are some budget friendly options that are currently on my wishlist.
All 3 of these dresses can be worn with flat sandals and simple jewelry or can be dressed up with heels and some statement pieces.

Wanna to go all Angelina for a night out?  I mean, I'm more of a Jen gal myself, but either way...
How about pairing this inexpensive maxi skirt with a silky black top, scrapping the skinny belt and replacing it with a wider belt that cinches in at the waist.  Don't forget your fav pumps and a little bling!
Forever21 Front Slit Maxi Skirt
$22.80
There are a bunch of different ways to wear it.  If you are into this trend, this is a great option for the price!

I just found these amazing tops at Target last week.  They are made from a light, gauzy material and are perfect for summer nights when the temperature goes down a little.
Merona Women's Breezy Gauze Tunic
$19.99

I bought the plaid and the chambray.  I wanted the white as well, but they didn't have my size.  I'll be keeping an eye out for one.  Paired with some cute cuffed shorts and flat sandals, these shirts will make a great summer wardrobe staple!

The hubby and I had a really nice date night last night, I thought I would share my outfit.  We went to a delish local sushi place.
Romper: Forever21 (seen here), Clutch: H&M (very old), Sandals: Target, Necklace: Esty (seen here)
Here's a close up of my new necklace.  I love it.  I want to get it in every color.

I hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day weekend! The end of last week and the weekend have been packed with a ton of great activities for us.  I am hiding from the heat of the BBQ for a minute to write a quick summary.

First up: The third annual mother daughter birthday celebration
(our mom's bdays are 1 day apart)!
P.S.: My shirt is from this post and it's still available online.

Then my little brother went to prom.  Which made me feel super old.
We basically look like twins... with completely different parents.  His date was so cute, I just cropped her out because I'm not sure she wants to be on the huge superstar blog I have.

Friday night we went on a double date with my SIL.  I decided to wear my Look for Less colorblock shift dress and just restyle it a little.
Dress: Forever21, Clutch: Forever21, Sandals: Target

On Saturday our cute little town had their annual May Fair and we walked and shopped with these clowns:
Those 2 have faces only a mother can love.

Then Sunday we attended a beautiful wedding in the city.
Congrats to Eric & Meredith!
(the dress is from this post)

So, at the end of all of that, we are BBQ'ing with some great friends and enjoying lazy beers while the bugs eat us alive.  But there is no other way I want to spend Memorial Day!  I hope everyone had an amazing weekend as well!

After my first full week at the new job we had a packed weekend.  I thought I would share my day to night look from Saturday.  I wore the same navy skinny slacks and white silk cami but switched up the rest.
Day: Target purse and flat sandals, Forever21 necklace, and scarf from Canal St.
Night: Target scarf, wedges & purse seen here, and stacked silver bangles that are super old.
